PADI ReActivate & Pool Refresher

from £90.00

Have you found yourself out of the water for a while?

No matter how rusty you feel, you can always get back into the groove and explore the depths of your favourite dive sites while staying safe and having fun.

It’s always better to be over-prepared than to forget how to properly and safely complete a dive. With either of the PADI ReActivate or SEPE Diving Pool Refresher programs, you can quickly brush up on basic-level knowledge and skills without having to start from scratch.

What is PADI ReActivate?

PADI ReActivate is a fully personalised and prescriptive scuba refresher program. So, you’ll only have to cover the areas where your skills and knowledge need refreshing. Move quickly through topics you know well, then dive deeper where your knowledge may have lapsed. You’ll progress at your own pace, with as much (or as little) guidance as needed from a SEPE Diving Professional, to restore your mastery of scuba skills.

Part 1: Knowledge refresher – independent study

With PADI ReActivate eLearning, you can review important concepts online on your computer or mobile device – whenever and wherever it suits you. If you’re travelling, you can also download content to study offline using the PADI Training App (for Apple iOS and Android).

Over 20 sections, you’ll watch scuba skill videos and interact with common dive scenarios. You’ll make decisions that test your understanding of dive safety, dive planning, and problem management. If you’re correct, you’ll move on to the next section. Otherwise, you can fill knowledge gaps with detailed information about each topic.

Following the ReActivate Quick Review, you’ll be able to show your overall understanding with a ReActivate Certificate.

Part 2: In-water practice – with a PADI Professional

Following the PADI ReActivate online knowledge refresher, you can optionally complete an in-water session with a PADI Professional. Firstly, they will cover a few basic safety skills. Then, they’ll dive deeper into any areas you specifically want to recap. These scuba review skills include:

  • Setting up dive gear

  • Pre-dive checks

  • Ascents and descents

  • Mask removal and clearing

  • Buoyancy control

  • Alternative air source ascents

Just like riding a bike, the skills will come right back to you!

Once you’ve completed both the knowledge and in-water skill refreshers, you’ll get a replacement PADI certification or recognition card showing your ReActivated date.

What is a Pool Refresher?

Similarly to PADI’s ReActivate program, SEPE Diving offers our very own skills and knowledge refresher program made up of the following two stages:

Part 1: Knowledge review with an instructor

This short knowledge review is our opportunity to see how much you can remember from your initial basic training, and help us identify any potential areas which may need or benefit from additional work. Remeber, this is a review and not a test, so the more we can identify, the better we can tailor your learning or development experience.

Part 2: In-water practice with a SEPE Diving professional.

This is where the fun begins. Once we have identified the areas in need of refreshing, or any where you feel that you lack in confidence, you will practice them underwater alongside other basic core diver skills with guidance and support from one of our experienced dive professionals.

Upon successful completion of a SEPE Diving pool refresher, you will be issued a certificate and your logbook will be stamped.
